What is Cross Country?
Cross country is a sport in which teams and individuals run a race on open-air courses over natural terrain such as dirt or grass.
High School cross country races are usually 3 miles to 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) in distance. Races involve running non-stop over the full distance.
Where are the races held?
We compete in the National District. Our district races are held at these Fairfax County Parks:
Burke Lake Park
Grove Point Park (Formerly Franconia Park)
Franconia Park (Formerly Lee District)
Mason District Park
South Run Park
